French Toast is a relatively new concept in our household. That’s only because we are lacto-vegetarians and we don’t eat eggs.

You know I’m an Indian, right? That means I’d like a hot Indian breakfast over a sandwich or a bowl of cereal. Don’t cringe. Our breakfasts are just as healthy (or even more) that “processed” cereal. 😉

But then, I’d be lying if I say I’m a sucker for all things healthy.

If that were the case, I wouldn’t be desperately buying every workout video on the planet hoping that “watching” them would knock of a few pounds! 😛

A bread-y cake so great, I even said no to my favorite chickpea curry. I could not help but admire my handiwork! Not only does it taste great, but it looks wonderful too.

And look – how well that turned out!

The answer is – too well! A whole wheat pizza dough base and a spicy filling topped with crumbled feta cheese. It was pretty much a winner even before it went into the oven. They came out brown, crispy and hot! And I knew I’d reached my baking nirvana for the day! 😉
