Once again, my love for Garlic translates into a recipe created exclusively for carbaholics such as myself.

These cheesy garlic rolls are my take on the regular dinner rolls and garlic bread. After the highly popular how to cook garlic bread post, I bring you yet another bread recipe made from scratch. Only this time, they are in the form of dinner rolls. And flavored with garlic and cheese and mixed herbs.

The garlic flavor in these rolls (or buns, as I like to call them) aren’t too overpowering. It is subtle, yet distinct. The cheese is just right – it enhances the flavor and provides another layer of texture. And overall, these rolls are just fluffy and delightful. The concept of making these rolls is pretty similar to most bread recipes; and yet – you’ll find that a few changes in the dough can give you a wonderfully fragrant bread!   (more…)

Here’s a bread fresh from the Tandoor to tickle your taste-buds! Kulchas are easier to make than Naan; but also give you an almost similar texture – spongy, chewy and soft! Requiring no yeast, these flour tortillas (or breads.. whatever you want to call them) are super easy to make and taste delicious with any side dish of your choice.

Usually cooked in a Tandoor, these breads have a smoky taste that is not hard to replicate at home. Using an iron griddle to partially cook the Kulchas and finishing them off in direct flame, you can get an almost similar texture and taste at home. And they are really quick to cook too!

The next time you decide to have an Indian feast, go ahead and make these Kulchas – with or without the butter. They are perfect vehicles to scoop up the many delicacies that Indian cuisine boasts of!    (more…)

I have to admit, radish isn’t one of my most loved vegetables.

However, I do enjoy radish in a few forms, this paratha being one of them. Mooli is the Hindi name for Radish and this mooli paratha is just a radish flavored tortilla. Simple, spicy and delicious!

Commonly served for breakfasts in the lands of Punjab, I’ve heard. But that hasn’t stopped any of us from enjoying these hot and soft flat-breads at varying times of the day. This recipe is the epitome of the saying – simplicity is profound. Radish, flour and some common spices found in an Indian’s pantry thrown together and voila!
