Did you know I love to cook for other people?

Big surprise.

Whether all those people appreciate the hard work that goes into every dish of mine is secondary. As long as I see them with a big smile whilst devouring a slice of my brownie or a piece of cake, I’m quite satisfied.

Disclaimer: I do not like Sweet Appam as much as a brownie. But I know so many people who love this South Indian sweet that I felt obligated to post this recipe – And FYI, I didn’t make this Appam – Mom did. πŸ˜€

This is made with Rice, Jaggery and a few additional ingredients and is actually really simple to make. You can deep fry (like I did) or use a special pan with grooves in it (called Appam pan or Appa-Chatti or Paniyaram pan) to just shallow fry them. (more…)

Aren’t these lovely?

I found these edible decorations recently. Sprinkles, Christmas trees, Edible balls….

And I went crazy dipping these Pretzels in Chocolate and covering them with a load of sprinkles!

Speaking of sprinkles, I’m in love with them! They just make food look so bright and chirpy! πŸ˜€ Am I right or what?
