I’ve made a Subway-inspired Sandwich before. The success of that recipe inspired me to recreate some of my favorite Subs with an Indian twist. This paneer tikka subway sandwich combines the fine art of sandwich making with classic North Indian flavors. Unlike a typical paneer tikka masala, this recipe for Paneer tikka doesn’t call for too many ingredients. With a tonne of protein packed into a little sandwich, this is also a great healthy option for snack or lunch or dinner time.   (more…)

There is no one way to make Sizzlers. The name of the dish is inspired by how the food is presented to you – hot and sizzling. So you could serve pretty much anything on a hot, sizzling iron plate and call it your own Sizzler. You’ll need a special kind of serving dish known as the Sizzler plate. It comes with a wooden stand and a groove with an iron plate. You cook the food and add it to the hot burning iron plate. And to avoid burning yourself, you place the plate on the wooden stand. If you don’t find this plate or do not want to buy it, you could mimic its functions by placing the food on any iron plate and placing that plate on a wooden board.

I’ve been kind of obsessed with Mexican cuisine a lot these days! Bean burgers, pico de gallo, stuffed peppers, vegetarian chilli, nachos.. you name it and I’ve been cooking + eating all of them! You can expect a lot of Mexican food coming up on this blog soon! 🙂

This veggie bean burger was one of my earliest attempts at making vegetarian Mexican food. It can be as healthy as you want it to be. If you have access to canned beans, this recipe will take you 30 minutes or less to make. But if you cook your beans, then I do suggest you plan and cook the beans ahead of time. The patties mixture can also be made and frozen for up to 3 days. If you’re not a fan of kidney beans, use whichever legume you like! This recipe really is forgiving and adaptable!    (more…)
