Hello there! Stopping by mid-week to share a super easy tea-time cake recipe.

I’m calling it my espresso chocolate teacake. Because that’s what it is. A coffee flavored chocolate cake that isn’t too rich and hence perfect as a snack with tea of coffee. Today, I’m sharing the classic Italian spicy arrabbiata sauce recipe. Spicy, delicious and ideal with spaghetti or penne, this is an all-purpose sauce that takes 30 minutes (tops) to put together.

Arrabbiata literally means “angry” in Italian. The name of the sauce refers to the spiciness of the chili peppers. The more you add, the spicier your sauce will become (duh). It works well as a dipping sauce too.   (more…)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Indians love their version of Chinese food. So much so that besides making many Chinese recipes our own, we’ve gone ahead and extrapolated the flavors to our local dishes too!

This vegetarian Chilli Kothu Paratha is one such dish that combines the best of Indian and Chinese cuisines. You’ll find this dish in most restaurants in Tamil Nadu. I’m not sure it is popular outside the state. But if it isn’t it should be. It tastes amazing!   (more…)

Trying to use some old apples (because they cost a bomb and I don’t want to waste them) led me to making this chutney / dip / relish kind of recipe. And I have never been more grateful to rotting apples, I tell ya!
