Who doesn’t love Paneer? (If you put your hand up, I give up. You don’t like good food!)

Some of the BEST Indian curries are made with Paneer as the main ingredient. And needless to say, they taste divine! This one does too. I promise! πŸ™‚ Malai Matar Paneer is an invention. Potatoes cooked Pizzaiola style! A classic Italian dish! I believe it is pronounced as {{Puh-thaa-thaaey ala Pizza-yola}} and is nothing but potatoes in a tomato sauce flavored with lots of garlic & oregano! Sundakkai Vathal Kuzhambu | Turkey Berry & Tamarind Soup

Sundakkai is Turkey Berry… We use the dry kind in this recipe. Actually, not we. Mom.

Mom made this classic south Indian stew that we all love so much and it is her signature dish. And I clicked. πŸ˜› There are too many versions of this soup. You add / subtract a few ingredients & you’ll end up with a new Kuzhambu with a new name! Turkey Berry is commonly used and hence, I decided to post this.

I call this a soup because it resembles one. However, unless you’re fond of extreme tartness, do NOT consume this as is. Make some Rice to mix with and enjoy! You’ll also love it with Idlis or Dosas. (more…)

Chana Dal Curry (Spicy Lentil Stew)

I almost can’t speak. It really was that delicious.

I love Indian Curries. And thanks to years of eating spicy food, my tummy is pretty much okay with any spice I throw at it. And I religiously do.

Spicy curries & spicy rice >> the two beautiful things in my life that I wouldn’t give up for anything! Not even my most favorite cake in the world!

That being said, just how EASY is it to make Indian gravies! So easy, quick and delicious that I’m obsessed with curries. And yes, I’m a self proclaimed curry-Queen! πŸ˜› (more…)
