Garden Fresh Pizza

Garden Fresh Pizza Recipe

The only thing that prevents me from eating a Pizza every single day is the price of cheese. You heard me. Not the obesity scare. But the expensive mozzarella cheese that seems to get over with every 2 pizzas that I make!

Oh, did I mention my Pizzas are always super Cheesy? You get past the first layer of Cheese and you’ll find – even more Cheese! What can I say? I don’t see myself becoming a Vegan anytime soon! :P Garden Fresh Pizza Recipe

I like experimenting. But I also like the old classics. And with Pizzas, I love sticking to classics – especially if I’m using the good, expensive mozzarella! :D Pizza Hut was the place I had my very first Pizza in 7th grade. I remember the toppings vividly – Onions, Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Cheese & Extra Cheese!

I probably fell in love with Pizza then. And even today, the classic onion-tomato-capsicum-cheese combo is what I make when I’m craving Pizzas. I save the experimenting for when a reader makes a request. The Pizza Hut people called MY first pizza Garden Fresh Pizza… and so I call mine the same.

Besides, you can easily impress your friends & family with this quick pizza! They’ll fall in love with you! :)

Anyway, Here’s how I make my Instant Garden Fresh Pizza –

You obviously need a sauce for the base. I use tomato ketchup & spice it up to suit my palate. To a Microwaveable bowl, add some tomato ketchup, minced garlic, butter, oregano, chilli flakes salt & pepper.

Microwave it for 1 minute until the butter melts into the sauce. Mix well.

To the Pizza base, add the sauce & smear it all over. (I use store bought base for quick Pizzas)

Arrange your sliced veggies however you like. Since I had a thicker crust, I topped the base with a lot of vegetables.

Grate a good amount of Mozzarella cheese all over the top.

Place it on the grill pan & put it under the broiler / grill (at highest temperature) for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese melts & turns golden bron.
