Here’s what I used –

Cream the butter and sugar together by beating the two together. Since I used granulated brown sugar, it didn’t dissolve into the butter. But if you’re looking for a smoother texture, go for powdered sugar.

Add the milk & vanilla to the butter mixture & mix. Don’t worry if the milk doesn’t mix into the butter completely. The whole thing will come together eventually.

Chill in freezer for 15 minutes  or refrigerator for 30 minutes for it to set (to shape). Meanwhile, preheat oven 160 C / 325 F

If you have an ice cream scoop, scoop out equal sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet greased & lined with parchment paper. Make sure the balls are at least 1 inch apart. If you don’t have ice cream scoop, take about 1 or 2 tablespoons of dough and roll in. (If it is sticking to your palms, use a little water to with your hands before rolling)

Flatten it slightly.

Carefully place on the parchment paper. You can use very little water to mold the cookies with your hand to your desirable shape. I flattened out more as I wanted crispier cookies. Stick some chocolate chips on top of each cookie.
