A grill pan and some easy dough is all you need to make this grilled whole-wheat pita bread.
Leavened breads are delicious. And when they are flatbreads like naan or pita, they’re even better because they don’t take as much time to cook as the other breads.
This version of the whole-wheat pita bread uses a quick starter to achieve that perfect spongy texture with the air-pockets so typical in a regular pita bread. And I also grilled them up instead of baking them – to speed things up. (more…)
