Dabeli Masala

Sep 20, 2012         one comment.

Dabeli is the Indian version of a Sloppy Joe. Although restaurants offer this delicacy, it is best eaten from street vendors in Mumbai! 😉 😀 This Masala (powder) is what gives the stuffing the authentic Dabeli taste. I could have probably posted this with the Dabeli recipe itself, (coming up next) however, I’ve found this spice mix to go well on other stir fried veggies too!

DABELI MASALA POWDER RECIPE

Ingredients
2 red chili
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2″ cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1/2 tsp cumin seeds / jeera

Method –
1. Dry roast all the ingredients for 2-3 minutes until a nice aroma starts coming.

2. Grind to a fine powder. Use as required.
