Jam-filled Thumbprint Cookies
Jam Thumbprint Cookies : Luscious Jams or Jellies filled inside versatile cookies.
Jam lovers… this recipe is made with YOU in mind.
Jam on bread is nice. But Jam on cookies is mind-blowing! Once you bake the cookies filled with the Jam, it gets a chewy texture that is so goddamn good, I don’t even know how it took me 400 days since the inception of this blog to make these Jam Thumbprint Cookies! 😉
I know this time of the year, a lot of you would be busy baking treats for Christmas. Whether you want to give this away to family/friends or you want to serve it for tea or heck, for any time of the year, these jam filled thumbprint cookies are perfect!
These cookies are just a simple, versatile cookies with an impression made with the thumb in the center for filling jam. Hence the name Thumbprint Cookies. An important lesson I learned while making my thumbprint cookies is that you have to work quickly to form the cookies and the “thumbprint”. Else, the cookie dough would dry out and form cracks while forming the thumb impressions. Another thing is to fill them with jam, but not get over excited and fill so much so that it spills out while baking!!
