Microwave Caramel Sauce
With this method of making Microwave Caramel Sauce, you no longer have to worry about burning the sugar for making Caramel Sauce!

Guys…… ? I bought together 5 simple ingredients and microwaved them for less than 5 minutes to make a luscious Caramel Sauce!
Awesome discovery, right? I have made Caramel sauce the traditional way as well. But take it from someone who has burnt herself one too many times, this microwave method is much safer, easier and quicker!
Butter, Brown Sugar, Condensed Milk, Fresh Cream, Salt.
That’s all you need. These are usually ingredients you’ll have on hand, especially during the Holidays. And even if you don’t, these are easily available at every supermarket.
Since this microwave caramel sauce recipe requires minimal supervision, you can just as easily have multiple things going on at the same time – unlike the traditional method of making Caramel Sauce. You don’t need any special skill to make this caramel sauce, so stop making excuses! 🙂
Microwave Caramel Sauce Recipe | How to make Quick Caramel Sauce in the Microwave
Add butter to a large microwave safe bowl and microwave for 10-20 seconds or until it is melted
Add brown sugar to the butter and mix well. Microwave again for 1-2 minutes or until the sugar somewhat dissolves into the butter.
Add condensed milk and mix furiously well. Make sure the sugar is evenly distributed.
Microwave for 2-3 minutes. Stop in between once, stir well and microwave again for 2 minutes. The color turns into a deep amber color like a caramel sauce.
Add some fresh cream and mix well.
Microwave for 30 seconds. Mix well and let it cool completely.
Pour into a glass / air tight jar. Store this in the refrigerator.
Whenever you want to use, you can remove and take spoonfuls of he sauce and microwave for 10 seconds to loosen it up. That’s it! Enjoy!

- 5 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar

- a pinch of Sea Salt (optional)
Note – Brown Sugar
- If possible, try to get smaller granules / powdered brown sugar. If not, it is okay. You just have to stir well for it to dissolve

This would be delicious as a filling on my cake crumb tart shells!
Tip: Preferably get powdered brown sugar. But if you do have big granules of brown sugar, it’s okay. You just have to stir furiously until it is dissolved into the mixture. I use the Nutella Jar to store my Caramel Sauce! 🙂
