*2023 Update:
It feels so surreal revisiting some of my old posts, and reading what the baby blogger KR wrote. I try to understand this person, but all I feel is equal parts cringe and awe.
Cringe – because jeez, I really had no finesse in writing, nor did I think about the words that were coming out of my mouth (or in this case, my keyboard). But I’m also in awe, looking at this insane growth that happened in the last 11 years.
Due to some unavoidable circumstances (driven most certainly by my failure to be on top of things), I lost a bunch of my live blog data, meaning – I’ll have to do a LOT of things from scratch. When I looked at my archives though, I wasn’t sure if I just wanted to do a “Copy & Paste”… cuz I certainly wasn’t a good blogger. But after much thought and introspection, I’ve decided NOT to make too many edits to the old posts. In 10, 20 maybe even 30 years, I wanna see how far I’ve come in terms of everything: writing, photography, photo editing, videography, recipe development and blogging in general.
While I reinstate my website (hopefully in the next 4 weeks), I’m going to go through multiple rounds of cringing at myself, and I’ll thank YOU (if you’re reading this) – to not judge baby KR’s blogging skills too much.
And as always, feedback is appreciated. Now, lets see what I wrote in 2011:

2011: When I first started a free blog on Blogspot.com
Here I am, with my own space on the web and I hope that this would give that zing which I find lacking in my life at the moment. God knows how many people will be reading this, but at least there’s a space! I HAVE A BLOG!! And write I will! After a lot of thinking, I decided to start a food blog after all. I have seen numerous blogs online. The list is endless! And yet, I feel that people would like to read my trials and experiments with food.
I’m an amateur chef. Cooking is not even something I do everyday. But it is something I LOVE doing. And with this venture, I hope to feed that tiny passion of mine! 🙂 Hope you enjoy!
Some context on timelines:
I started writing in school, and blogging about food on a free platform in 2011. In a year, I had built up a decent set of recipes, and wanted to “go pro”. Foodomania was thus born on 1st August, 2012. So while I’m reconciling a lot of posts from 2011 through 2022, I’ll maintain most of the timelines on or after August 1st, 2012.
